Texas Instruments (TI), a global leader in analog and embedded processing semiconductors, is hiring a System Engineer for its Transceivers (TRX) product line within the Interface Business Unit in Bengaluru.

As a System Engineer, you will play a crucial role in defining new products, building roadmaps, and engaging with top customers. This position offers the opportunity to work on industrial interfaces (RS-485/232, Power Bus, IO-Link) and create innovative solutions that align with customer needs and market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define new products and platforms by analyzing market opportunities.
  • Own the industrial interface roadmap (RS-485/232, Power Bus, IO-Link) and align it with emerging customer trends.
  • Partner with design, marketing, and applications engineering teams to balance technical specifications with manufacturability and cost.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and influence TI’s product strategy.
  • Engage in trade-off discussions, ROI analysis, and roadmap prioritization.
  • Work with cross-functional teams across India and the US for successful product delivery.
  • Participate in quarterly customer visits to strengthen relationships and gather insights.

Key Technical Skills:

Analog/mixed-signal ICs, Industrial interfaces (RS-485, RS-232, Power Bus, IO-Link), System-level design, Industrial automation knowledge, Signal chain subsystems, Lab equipment usage, Customer engagement, Product roadmap definition

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, or related field).
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in system engineering.
  • Strong understanding of analog/mixed-signal ICs and their applications.
  • Knowledge of industrial markets (automation, robotics, building automation, appliances).
  • Familiarity with RS-485/232, Power Bus, and IO-Link standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across global teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel quarterly for customer meetings.

Preferred:

  • Systems-level expertise with clear understanding of signal chain subsystems.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial applications and protocols.
  • Experience in system-level design/architecture.
  • “Ownership mentality” to drive results proactively.
  • Strong time management and adaptability to new systems/processes.
